Due to the massive requests for a 10th edition door I am releasing this
version as is (for now). It does not have all the features in it I had
hoped to add. I will add them as time permits but I am very busy with
school and work so it may be a while. Here are the features that are
not in this version but will be added.
1: This version only supports the Dec 90 9th edition and the Sep 91
10th edition. Future versions will support all disks back to Apr 88
disk.
2: No ratio checking is done in this version. Next version will allow
this. However the cdcom.sec file must still have the ratio check
number just as it is shown in the doc file.
3: The cdcom.usr file is written but not properly updated in this
version. I began to put it in but haven't finished it yet. This file
maintains the total # of downloads and download kb the user has in the
door, so you can update their records later if you want.
4: The top 45 download report function does not work.
5: door.sys (wildcat 3.0) is not supported in this version. Future versions
will undoubtably use it, but I am in no hurry to modify for it yet,
especially since wildcat isn't writing the standard door.sys.
6: Marking files for transfer (<Q>uick List) is not functional at
this time. I'll probably add file marking in other locations other
than the <Q>uick reference also.
All of these items listed here override anything that the docs may say
the program does at this time. I was trying to update the docs as I
went along and may have mentioned something that I had planned to add
in, so if it doesn't seem to work check here again. I may have missed
something here also so.....
I didn't have much time to test whats here. If you find a bug let me
know and it will be fixed in next release, unless of course its real
serious and I'll provide a fix immediately. But it seemed to work fine
for the few tests I did, so hoping there are no other problems.
If you are upgrading from the dec90 pcsig program, and are going
to use this door to access the dec90 disk, you will need to set
the door up new. The cdcom.his and menu files should be able to
be copied over ok, however the menus will need to updated a bit
to get them to work with the door. See the examples that
come with the door or are created by the door if you having
problems.
